jazz mandolin with Tom Bekeny and the Missing Man Quartet

Friends
Our band, the Missing Man Quartet, will have two jazz performances this week in the Bay Area.

Thursday night (7/11) we'll be playing at Taste of Rome, in Sausalito (1000 Bridgeway) at 7pm. This will be our first time at this venue and we are hoping to see some of our North Bay friends there. Veteran Bay Area jazz musician Greg Reginato will be playing guitar, the versatile Craig Griffeath will be navigating his complex 7-string electric bass, Bill Lanphier, drums, will help keep things grooving along, and yours truly will be playing in a decidedly un-Neapolitan style on mandolin (not even a taste of Rome).

At 8pm on Fri. evening (7/12), we'll be performing at the Kensington Circus Pub, Colusa Ave., Kensington. Glenn Iwaoka will join us on drums for this performance. There is no cover at either the Thursday or Friday show, and all ages are welcome.

We'll be playing some familiar standards, some more obscure tunes like George Benson's
"My Latin Brother" and Vince Guaraldi's "Ginza Samba", blues, ballads, bebop and a little bossa nova.

Hope to see you!
