September trivia question
These two bandmates grew up in California but neither is generally known by the last name that their grandfathers used. One of them was born ten years to the day after a child movie superstar. Identify them and their original family names.

Stay tuned to this thread. The question this month might be too difficult for even the most expert bluegrass fans. I will post a hint in a week or so if I don’t get any good answers. And I will probably also post the winners on this thread around mid-month unless the message board is otherwise swamped with bluegrass chit chat.
A tee shirt prize will be awarded to one of the people with the correct answer. A lottery drawing decides among multiple winners. If you are a past winner and have not been able to get your tee shirt, I apologize. I was not able to attend the Grass Valley Father’s Day Festival this year, which is where we get most of the prizes distributed. Please let me know if you have not collected a past prize and I will try to help you collect it as early as the Fall Campout in Lodi. Prizes must be redeemed at a CBA event because we’re cheap and the postal service charges too much.
