February trivia answer

Name the old TV show that has an episode in which the title character sings “Whoa Mule, Whoa” while playing the mandolin. This actor made his mark in television with an earlier show which also had some old time and bluegrass playing.

The answer is Matlock, starring Andy Griffith. I didn’t know Andy played mandolin as well as guitar until I happened to be channel surfing and saw him chording away on what looked like a mandocaster while singing Whoa Mule.
